Who we are
Ethical Tech Solutions is an Ontario registered business name. These terms cover the work we do for you.
Fixed-price jobs
Each fixed-price job is set out in a written statement of work. You pay half before we start and half when we show you the finished work.
Delivery times are in business days. They count from the day we have your words and your first payment.
If you stop before we start, we return the first half. After we start, the first half pays for the work done so far, and you keep what we built.
A written price is good for 30 days.
A fixed price covers one location, unless your written price says more. Your domain stays in your name, and you pay its yearly fee. A website price covers normal business traffic. If your site gets very busy, we tell you and agree the next step in writing before anything changes.
If we will miss a delivery date, we tell you before it. You can stop then and get the first half back.
Your systems
Our access to your systems is read-only until you sign off in writing. You back up your data before we start.
Monthly plans (Run by us)
A Run by us plan is paid before the month starts. If a payment does not arrive, we wait seven days, then the plan pauses. There is no fee and no interest. A free page keeps working while a plan is paused.
A plan includes up to four changes a month. A change is one message from you: an update to your own items, prices, hours, words or pictures, or a post we write for you from your words, which you post yourself. A person on our team checks every change before it comes back to you. Unused changes do not carry over. Anything more is priced in writing before we start.
One plan covers one shop at one location. A second location is a second plan.
You can stop any time. The month you paid for runs to its end, and we do not bill the next one. Your data leaves with you.
A price change comes with 30 days' notice. You can stop before it starts.
If we end a plan for a reason that is not misuse, we give 30 days' notice and return the unused part of the month.
If a page is used for something it is not for (another business, things the law does not allow, or messages people did not ask for), we end the plan and return the unused part of the month.
"Keep it working" means that if a page breaks because of us, we fix it. It is not a promise about anything outside our control, such as WhatsApp or your phone.
Our liability
Our liability is capped at the fees you paid us in the last three months.

Law
These terms follow the laws of Ontario.
